18.6 million Dollar GDPR fine levied on Facebook over 12 data breaches

Facebook was fined 18.6 million dollars by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DCP) for violating GDPR rules in the region. According to the press release, Facebook did not have in place the necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect the data of EU citizens.
